Raid 2 budget . Is Raid 2 is hit or flop ?

How raid 2 collections gradually increase?

The film, a crime thriller, hit the screens on May 1 and has witnessed a consistent rise in collections. It’s a movie you can watch with your family too. Besides Raid 2, some other major movies like Retro, Hit 3, Thunderbolt, and Bhootni also hit the screens. These movies performed well in the first week but their collections began to decline slowly. While Raid 2 resonated well with the audience, which was something that the other films were unable to do. No other major film came out for nearly two weeks, and that helped Raid 2 keep increasing at the box office as well.

Raid 2 movie review

Ajay Devgn reprises his role as the uncompromising and courageous Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik. The film this time is based on the 75th raid of his career. The subject is Dada Manohar Bhai, who is a very respected and influential figure in society (played by Riteish Deshmukh).

But the raid does not proceed as planned—no illicit assets are discovered, and Amay is suspended. The rest of the film traces his quest to establish the truth and find the concealed wealth. The tale is of how Amay braves numerous obstacles to deliver justice.

What works for raid 2

Ajay Devgn delivers another strong performance with his suave and intense demeanor.

Riteish Deshmukh is excellent in a serious role, adding depth to the film.

The second half is engaging, with a better pace and stronger screenplay.

The background music by Amit Trivedi adds emotion and tension, especially in the second half.

The interval block is one of the highlights of the movie.

Negative aspect of raid 2

The story feels familiar and predictable.

The first half is slow and may bore the audience.

Some of the scenes lag, which hampers the pace.

Excessive use of music in emotional scenes.

The editing could have been tighter to have a better pace.

The climax is weak and doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

Technical Aspects:

Direction: Raj Kumar Gupta takes a safe story but doesn’t make it gripping in the first half.

Cinematography: Good, but not very impressive.

Editing: Could have been tighter.

Music: Various composers contributed to the songs, but Amit Trivedi’s background score is the most noticeable.

Final Verdict:
Raid 2 is an average crime thriller that succeeds largely due to Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s acting. The second half rescues the film after a slow and boring first half. Though it might not be as effective as the original Raid, it’s still watchable for those who love the genre.

Rating: 3/5
